George Pell embarks on holiday of a lifetime

Disgraced Cardinal George Pell is preparing for one final holiday after being found guilty of child sexual abuse charges.

Australia’s highest-ranking Catholic faced the music on Tuesday as details of his conviction emerged publicly. Given the sordid nature of his crimes, it’s expected Pell will soon be heading on an all-expenses-paid holiday that lasts the rest of his life.

Social media was ablaze as citizens bid farewell to Pell, 77, who is a passionate traveller, except when it comes to returning to his home country to answer allegations of paedophilia.

“Have a nice trip, George!” one Twitter user posted.

I hope you have a nice layover in prison on your way to Hell.

Previous guests described Pell’s future accommodation as “cosy,” “somewhat industrial,” and “a great place to rot quietly until the Devil is ready to take your soul into the fiery pits of the Underworld.”
